Siara Ochoa - Music Video

We can discuss the music video here.  Once we hear the music we can choreograph the story board and find the locations that would be ideal.

Hi guys!

First of all, im very happy and excited to work with you all! Its going to be a great experience!! Here is the link to the song:

I have the idea of showing emotion for the first part of the song, then kinda like what we talked about, leaving the house, kissing a dog, then dance on the road for the chorus part, then for the bridge maybe just dancing on the beach, where it says "now i can fly like a bird in the sky".......and just develop a story using pieces of choreography (song its already choreographed).

What are your ideas??

So glad to see Siara on here.  Now we can really get down to business.  Once Jay logs in, he can help give some creative input.  I will count out the 8counts and come up with a rough idea in the next few days.

Here's what i've been working on. I hope it doesn't play out too quickly, but I do like the elevator idea. Tell me what you think, and let me know what you think about revisions and changes.

Siara – “No More”
Establishing shots:  Sunset at Sands beach. Series of shots that move closer down the beach towards a couple on the sand.
Phase 1 (0:10)
Count 1: camera is finally close up on Siara and Male who are seated together on a blanket. It is during sunset and they enjoy some wine and cheese, or a similar beach savvy date.
Count2: Camera switches 180 degrees, as they talk, seemingly enjoying everything.
Count 3: He pours her another glass with the ocean visible in the background
Count 4: He slides a little closer to her
Count 5 He puts his arm around her to “all the things that were left unsaid”
Count 6 She pushes his arm away and looks frustrated.
Count 7 ( Siara walks away from MALE on blanket. She is walking away in foreground, he remains seated in background)
Count 8 (He looks to consider chasing her but takes another swig from his wine instead)
Phase 2 (0:31)
Count 1- Door to apartment opens and Siara steps in
Count2-Male follows looking desperate
Count 3- Starts packing clothes
Count 4- Gets her photograph/something memorable from the relationship
Count 5-Kisses the dog goodbye
Count 6- Gets her toothbrush and hair brush from the bathroom
Count 7- He follows her down the hallway trying to get her attention to turn around
Count 8- Door closes in his face to final gone
Phase 3 (0:53)
Count 1- In elevator, holding all her things in her hands looking somber
Count2-Door opens on next floor and its him trying to beg her.
Count 3- She shakes her head and he steps out.
Count 4- He runs up the staircase
Count 5- He presses the elevator up button
Count 6- The door opens and he tries to step inside and talk again.
Count 7- She pushes him out
Count 8- A hand is seen holding to door close button
Phase 4 (1:13)
Count  1-Door opens to the rooftop, she emerges with all her things.
Count2-Drops them off on the floor
Count 3- Camera circumvents her 180 degrees while she looks out over santa barbara
Count 4-Her phone rings with a picture of him on it.
Count 5- She drops the phone into the box.
Count 6- Shot of his empty apartment with all her things missing and the mess left behind
Count 7-Shot of the beach picnic, everything is set up, but no one is seated there
Count 8-Her phone rings again from Male
Phase 5 (1:34)
Count 1- She looks back over her shoulder at the box.
Count2- Slowly walks back to it
Count 3- Camera angle from the box as she closes it up.
Count 4 Carries it over to the edge of the rooftop.
Count 5-Male looks down at his non-ringing phone with his hands in his hair.
Count 6-She rests the box on the edge
Count 7-Siara peers over the edge and blackout.
Count 8-She walks out the lobby of the building with the box in her hands. (didn’t end up throwing it)
Phase 3 Chorus (1:53)
(I will need some assistance with the timings on this, not very familiar with choreography in scripts)
Conclusion (3:39) Siara is back at the beach at the picnic site, this time by herself. There is no one next to her but there does not need to be.

Looks great.  What do you think, Siara?

If Siara goes with this, then let's pack all the shots we need together into each Scene we'll be shooting at - that way we aren't hopping from scene to scene following the story & instead we get all shots at beach while we're at beach.
Also, we'll be auditioning for the male part.  Any friends you know? I'll put a casting call out today.

Hey guys,

Thank you Jay for the detailed description!! I really appreciate it. I like the idea, is great! but I think it focuses a lot on the guy, and I want it to be more about me. For example:

For the first verse I like the idea of being sitting on the beach, but I think I would like it better to be watching like a movie at the apartment, drinking the wine, me standing up, cause of like a little fight or whatever and then I start packing my few belongings, he sips back from his cup instead of chasing me, Then I kiss the dog and leave.

My choreography starts on the chorus, I think thats the only part of the song where I want to dance. But I can dance on the last chorus maybe. So maybe for the first chorus, I like the idea that when he sees its real, he is kinda like chasing me through the elevator, etc......then comes the bridge.

For the bridge I want to do it on the beach, on the sunset cause the verse says: Now I can fly like a bird in the sky.....and I just picture the waves, and the air and a nice dress, and just playing around there.....To kinda like reflect how I am feeling inside, then for the second chorus.....

Second chorus, We can come back to the elevator shot, go to the roof of the building, then I can start doing my choreography and I love putting the box on the edge, then not ending up throwing it.

Yes I know a few guys.....I´ll ask. If you guys get any applications pls forward them to me.

Thank you again!!! Excited!!

Great job filming yesterday, everyone!

Here's a rough cut of the video to let you know what we filmed.  No color correction, flares, or anything added just yet... just synced the footage for the first few minutes.  Still picking out different scenes and we have a ton of extra footage to go through!  Once again, great job team!
